About Stephanie

Stephanie R. Brophy founded Brophy Legal Counsel, LLC to provide clients with steady, sophisticated, and results-driven advocacy. She launched the firm after more than 13 years of practice in Maryland, where she rose from an associate to a named partner at Dulany Leahy Curtis & Brophy LLP. Armed with years of trusted partnership experience, she established her own firm to continue providing the sophisticated, tailored legal advocacy her clients rely on.

Stephanie has navigated complex legal landscapes ranging from local land-use disputes to matters before the Supreme Court of the United States. Her distinct legal perspective was, however, forged long before she ever entered a courtroom.

As a lifelong horsewoman who spent years managing a premier A-Circuit hunter/jumper stable, Stephanie mastered the logistics of high-value assets, staff management, and national travel. Living on the road taught her the value of grit, precision, and proactive risk management. Today, she applies that same "boots-on-the-ground" work ethic to every case, title examination, and corporate contract.
